Member & Board Inductions in 2001/2002

Back in 2001/02, our Rotaract meetings were held at the Windsor Hotel in South Perth. Our club started the year with 9 members, and ended with 13, however we farewelled Andrew and Valeska at the end of the year as Andrew had reached the age limit of 30.

See inductions in another year: 2000/01 - 2001/02 - 2002/03 - 2003/04 - 2004/05 - 2005/06 - 2006/07 - 2007/08 - 2008/09

Mitchell Sherston

Mitchell was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 22 May 2002 by President Amber Collins. Previously a Rotaractor in the Northern Territory, Mitchell first became involved with our club in April 2002 after he moved to Perth.

Mitchell moved to Kalgoorlie for 6 months from June 2002 and to Leonora for a year in 2003/2004. We saw him off and on until 2005. We wish him the best of luck wherever he has ended up now!

Niki Millman

Niki was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 22 May 2002 by President Amber Collins. Niki first became involved with our club in March 2002.

Health problems prevented Niki from being able to participate in our club activities towards the end of September 2002. We miss her smiles and hope her health improves soon.

Maya Kraj-Krajewski

Maya was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 8 May 2002 by Vice President Julia Azzalini (Amber says she was giving Julia the opportunity to practise inducting members, but was it a sneaky ploy to avoid figuring out how to pronounce Maya's surname?). Maya first became involved with our club in March 2002.

Maya has since served as the President of the club in 2003/04 and as DRR in 2006/07, and ceased attending in late 2007.

Robyn McCausland

Robyn was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 8 May 2002 by President Amber Collins. Robyn first came along to our club in September 2000, and started becoming more involved from March 2002.

We farewelled Robyn in 2004 when she moved to England!

Tammy Hart

Tammy was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 8 May 2002 by President Amber Collins. Tammy first became involved with our club in February 2002.

Unfortunately Tammy left the club in August 2002 as she had classes on a Wednesday night and could no longer attend our meetings!

Charmaine Pereira

Charmaine was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 24 April 2002 by President Amber Collins. Charmaine first became involved with our club in January 2002.

Charmaine helped out as bulletin editor for a while in 2003/04, and left the club towards the end of 2003. She now lives in Singapore.

Jeremy Lu

Jeremy was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 13 February 2002 by President Amber Collins. Jeremy first became involved with our club in October 2001.

Jeremy left the club towards the end of 2003.

Jason and Chantal Keerak

A Canadian couple on a working holiday in Australia, Jason and Chantal were inducted as honorary members on 24 October 2001 by President Amber Collins, after they got in touch with us in September 2001.

Unfortunately for us, they returned home to Canada at the end of January 2002.

Jason and Chantal's Honorary Membership recognises the significant contribution they made to the Rotaract Club of South Perth during the short time that they were in Perth.

Celine Marston (née Seah)

Celine Seah, who became Celine Marston a few months after she joined us, was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth on 24 October 2001 by President Amber Collins. Celine first became involved with our club in September 2001.

After holding the posts of Secretary and Community Service Director for 6 months in the first half of 2002/2003, Celine left the club in late 2002 to concentrate on further study.

Steven Best

Steve was inducted as a member on 26 September 2001 by President Amber Collins. Steve first started coming along to South Perth in 2000, participating in our tree planting that year and joining us in the Rotaract Club of Perth's Car Rally. Circumstances prevented Steven from being able to attend regularly until mid 2001, when he started coming along again.

Steven left our club at the end of the 2001.
