Rotaract Meetings

Club ("general") meetings are held fortnightly, and are open to anyone interested in participating in our activities or finding out more about us. These meetings usually last from half an hour to an hour. The main aim of club meetings is to network, let everyone know what is going on, and to provide some training.

You are welcome to just turn up to our meetings, but we recommend you contact us first to let us know to expect you!

What Should I Bring to a Meeting?

It's a good idea to bring a pen and your diary, so you can note down any activities you would like to participate in, and let us know if any dates are unsuitable for you.

The meetings themselves don't cost anything to attend, but since our meetings are conveniently located near the Mends St café strip in South Perth, many of us usually go out for a drink or a bite to eat afterwards - usually at the Dome Cafsé, Gelare, or the Windsor Hotel. If you wish to join us in socialising after the meeting, you are not required to purchase anything, but it may be useful to bring a little money in case you do wish to take some refreshments!

How Do I Get to the Meeting Venue?

If you are attending your first meeting with us and are nervous about finding people you don't know in a location you have never been to, please contact us, and we would be happy to arrange for one of our members to pick you up and accompany you to your first meeting.

By Car: There is plenty of free parking around Mends St and Labouchere Rd. There are limited parking spaces at the Learning Centre, so we recommend you park on Mends St. There is a laneway from the South Perth Post Office car park to the kindergarten next door to the Learning Centre. The area is very well lit, and we always walk anyone who has come alone back to their car.

By Bus: There is a bus stop right outside the Learning Centre - Routes 30 & 31 both stop there. It is also a very short walk from Mill Point Road if you take Route 34.

By Ferry: For the slightly more adventurous, it is possible to take the ferry from Perth to the Mends St jetty, and walk up Mends St to Labouchere Rd. If you are visiting from overseas and staying in the Perth city centre, a nice way to spend the afternoon / early evening is to take the ferry across the river, meet with Rotaractors at the Ferry terminal, enjoy an early dinner at a café on Mends St together, before walking to the meeting venue.
